iTero digital 3D scanner

ITERO® - DIGITAL SCANNER

The mess-free and radiation-free solution to capturing accurate anatomy.
With iTero we can take digital impressions for dental restorations and appliances, and monitor tooth and gum conditions. Scanning technology is more comfortable than traditional putty impressions and scans can be saved and accessed later. This means we can; compare your tooth and gum health from previous visits to provide better preventative care and early intervention, quickly fabricate dental crowns, and replace lost or broken appliances without additional dental visits. iTero's NIRI technology can assist in diagnosing and confirming caries without the need for additional radiation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW OFTEN ARE DENTAL X-RAYS TAKEN?

Cavity Detection X-rays are taken once per year, this is the perfect timing for early detection of dental caries or pathology.

WHY ARE PANORAMIC X-RAYS TAKEN?

Panoramic X-rays are taken to screen for cancer in the head, neck, and oral cavity. This type of radiograph is typically taken every 5 years.

WHAT IF I DO NOT WANT X-RAYS TO BE TAKEN?

Without dental X-rays, we cannot look beneath the surface to identify underlying issues that can quickly turn into big problems!

We feel most confident about the care we provide for our patients when we have abundant information but understand you may have things in life that may prevent you from being able to have X-rays taken. We are always happy to discuss any radiographic concerns and adjust X-ray schedules to suit your needs as an individual while accomplishing our goals as providers.

WHAT IS A CBCT SCAN?

Cone Beam Computed Tomography Systems

We use this type of imaging to view a 3D version of your head neck and jaw with lower radiation than traditional CT scans.

With this technology, we can predictably plan surgical and implant treatments and identify underlying pathology in the oral cavity, sinus cavity, nerve canals, and more.
