FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why Modern Dental of Durham for Invisalign treatment?
Doctor Shepherd has a love for Invisalign. He and his team have spent countless hours on continuing education to ensure they are always at the top of their game when it comes to new developments for Invisalign, and patient satisfaction.
Our team has undergone the Invisalign treatment with their own teeth. We know what it is like to wear the aligners, and can explain Invisalign from both the patient and clinician perspective.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an orthodontic appliance that is used to straighten teeth. The process involves using invisible, removable, plastic aligners to move teeth into their best and ideal position in the mouth
How does Invisalign work?
Each patient will be prescribed their own custom and unique treatment plan along with a series of clear aligners. The aligners will be worn sequentially with each aligner being worn for about 2 weeks.
The aligners are removed only to eat, drink, and daily hygiene. Your teeth will move little by little each week in a slow and painless process.
Your compliance determines your results!
How long does the process take?
In most cases, the final results will occur between 9 to 14 months. Some cases may require more or less time depending on the type of movement that needs to be made to achieve your perfect smile.
